Study program:
Geology (I semester -PhD)
Name of subject: Genetic Models of Metallic and Nonmetallic Minerals
Instructors:
Prof. Rade Jelenković, Prof. Vladimir Simić
Status: Optional
ECTS: 10
Prerequisites: -
Course Objectives:
Acquiring knowledge from the domain of development of genetic models of selected types of mineral deposits. The contribution is reflected in the expansion of knowledge in the field of genesis of mineral deposits.
Learning Outcomes:
Getting specific knowledge in the field of genetic modeling of selected types of deposits of metallic and non-metallic mineral raw materials.
Content:

Theory teaching
Introduction. Genetic models in exploration of mineral resources. Methods of preparing genetic models. Analysis of genetic models for the following deposit types: stratiform and alpine-type chromium and PGE deposits, granophyle deposits, pegmatite deposits of REE, porphyry Cu and Mo deposits, stratiform sedimentary Cu deposits, non-magmatogenic Pb-Zn deposits, selected types of hydrothermal, sedimentary and and metamorphic U deposits, models of volcanic-sedimentary massive sulphides deposits, skarn metallic mineral deposits, Bonanza-type of Au deposits, epithermal Au and Ag mineralisation of Canadian Cordillera type, models of disseminated Au deposits, Au deposits in metamorphic rocks, models of selected deposits of elements, crystals, minerals and stones.
