Course Objectives: Application of general chemical laws in hydrochemistry, introduction to the cycle of chemical elements in the hydrosphere, importance of organic and biological components, introduction to groundwater hydrochemistry. Empowering a student for effective participation in courses on higher levels of study (for example, Hydrogeochemistry course). Introduction to laboratory and field hydrochemical methods. Introduction to application of different methods of hydrochemical research (field and laboratory) and to application of various hydrochemical software. Study of the relationship between chemical composition of atmospheric waters, surface waters and ground waters. |

Learning Outcomes: Basic knowledge of the hydrochemistry of atmospheric waters, surface waters and ground waters. Mastering the basics of analytical field and laboratory methods for determining physical and chemical parameters of water quality. |
