Study program:
Hidrogeology (IV semester -BsC) |
Name of subject: Methods of Hydrogeological Research |
Instructors:
Prof. Saša Milanović, Prof. Ljiljana Vasić |
Status: Compulsory |
ECTS: 6 |
Prerequisites: - |
Course Objectives: Learning on basic methods that are applied in hydrogeological practice. Anticipation of techniques and technologies apllied in researches and procedures in geo- and non-geo sciences and disciplines. Educational advantages: Key step in education of hydrogeologists: moving from basic knowledge in hydrogeology towards advanced engineering courses which students will meet at higher graduation level. |
Learning Outcomes: Adoption of knowledge on research methods in hydrogeology. The candidates are able to perform the tests and experiments in the field and in labs, and to elaborate the obtained results. |
Content:
Theory teaching Principles and research stage, Types, characteristics and application in HG of certain geological and non-geological methods: Geobotanical, Petrological and Paleontological methods, Geomorphological, Speleological methods, Remote detection, Structural geological methods, Hydrometeorological and hydrological methods, Geophysical methods, Hydrochemical and radioisotopic methods, Specific non-geological methods. Field hydrogeological investigations, experiments and tests - laboratory and field determination of hydrogeological parameters. Trracer tests, Documentation of hydrogeological exploration and GIS, Basics of study of the regime and reserves of groundwater. |
