Course Objectives:
Introduction to basic ecology concepts, types of contaminants of the geological environment, cycle of atmospheric contamination, hydrosphere and geosphere. |
Learning Outcomes:
Students get to know the basics of contamination processes and protection of groundwater and the environment. |
Content:
Theory teaching
Elements of general ecology, chemical composition of the atmosphere, surface and groundwater, inorganic, organic and biological contaminants of the environment, processes leading to environmental contamination (atmosphere and aquifers), geodiversity, self-purification processes, legal regulations in ecology, basics protection of groundwater, basics of land and ground remediation, environment and society, ecology and economy, environment and sustainability, ethics and sustainability. |
