Study program:
Mineral Processing (VIII semester -BsC) |
Name of subject: Mineral Processing Plant Design |
Instructors:
Prof. Milena Kostović, MSc Marina Blagojev |
Status: Compulsory |
ECTS: 5 |
Prerequisites: - |
Course Objectives: Introducing with the material that defines a creation and construction one plant of mineral processing, in all and individual stages of the process (plant departments) through the design and creation of project documentation, which worked specialist of educational module of mineral processing. |
Learning Outcomes: Introducing with the the way and order of formation, creation and adoption of project documentation which necessary for construction of one mineral processing plant, legislation which follows the design and creation of project documentation, and especially with the way of technological project creation. |
Content:
Theory teaching Design and project documentation. The technological, economic and environmental aspects of design; Legislation; Location of mineral processing plant and disposition of the individual plant objects; Design in the individual stages of the mineral processing (crushing, grinding, classification, flotation, gravity, magnetic and electric concentration, leaching, dewatering) - parameters of technological processes; project task; technological flowsheet and mass balance flowsheet; selection of equipment and its disposition; connection and transport of masses between separate phases of the process (plant departments); Control and regulation of the process; Connection between technological project and other projects (mechanical, civil, electrical and economical part of the project); Tailing pond. Practical teaching Each student receives a separate project task related to creation of technological project and design of separate phase of the process (plant departments). According to project task, student creates process flowsheet, mass balance flowsheet, selects and calculates machines and devices, as well as standard and non-standard equipment, performs disposition of equipment and plant objects, performs location of individual plant objects. |
