Study program:
Environmental Engineering (II semester -BsC) Mining Engineering (II semester -BsC) Petroleum Engineering (II semester -BsC) |
Name of subject: Mathematics 1 |
Instructors:
Prof. Dejan Ćebić, MSc Maja Ristić |
Status: Compulsory |
ECTS: 8 |
Prerequisites: - |
Course Objectives: Introduction of the basic elements of Mathematics necessary for engineers |
Learning Outcomes: Students will master of the application of a mathematical apparatus for solving engineering problems |
Content:
Theory teaching The initial method units of this course include the basic concepts of mathematical logic and the theory of sets. Afterwards the introduction of real and complex numbers, polynomials, and their properties follows. Then, the basic elements of linear algebras are studied: linear equation systems and their solutions, matrices and determinants. The field of analytical geometry involves the basic concepts of analytic geometry in plane and analytic geometry in space. Practical teaching Any subject of the theoretical part of the course will be followed by solving of the selected problems. |
