Course Objectives: Introduction to the principles of operation and application of electric motors, applied in mining, and with the specifics of the networks and devices for mining plants power supply. |
Learning Outcomes: Acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of work of electric machines, as well as the basis of their electricity supply. |
Content:
Theory teaching DC motors; Inductive motors; Synchronous motors; Mining plants power supply; Electric lines; Transformers - substations; Electrical distribution equipment and switchgear systems. Earthing the power supply network and the dangers associated with it. Practical teaching DC motors, inductive and synchronous motors - practical exercises; Distribution and switchgear systems - examples in mining. |
