Course Objectives: The objective of the course is to introduce to students the unconventional oil and gas resources, their distribution in the world and in our country, its basic geological characteristics, exploration and exploitation methods and technologies for all types of oil and gas resources, as well as the economic and ecological aspects of oil and gas production from these resources . |
Learning Outcomes: Acquiring knowledge and ability for independent scientific and research work in the field of non-conventional oil and gas resources, development of critical analysis and evaluation of the obtained results. |
Content:
Theory teaching Comparison of conventional and unconventional oil and gas resources. Reserves and production of oil and gas from unconventional oil and gas resources in the world. Unconventional oil and gas resources in Serbia. Characteristics of non-conventional oil and gas resources ( heavy oil, oil shale, oil sands, gas shale, tight gas, coal bed methane, gas hydrates). Oil production technologies from unconventional oil resources. Specificity, economic and ecological aspects of oil exploitation from unconventional oil resources. Gas production technology from unconventional gas resources. Specificity, and economic aspects of gas exploitation from unconventional gas resources. Practical teaching Calculation of mathematical examples, solving practical problems and multimedia presentation of seminar papers on case studies |
