Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to familiarize students with methods and procedures for the application of explosives in specific conditions and the mechanized demolition of building structures. |
Learning Outcomes: Acquiring knowledge that can later be applied in practice in the field of special blasting methods and demolition of building structures. |
Content:
Theory teaching 1. Theoretical basis of demolition. Basic physical - mechanical and technical characteristics of the working environment. (1 working week) 2. Basic physical and mechanical characteristics of the working environment. Building constructions. (1 working week) 3. Drilling equipment, explosives, initiation systems. (2 working weeks) 4. Basic blasting parameters. (1 working week) 5. Demolition blasting of building structures and facilities. (2 working weeks) 6. Demolition blasting of high buildings (1 working week) 7. Underwater blasting (1 working week) 8. Application of explosives in trench blasting in agriculture. Torpedoing of boreholes. Blasting of stumps. Blasting of ice-holes.(1 working week) 9. Mechanized demolition of building structures. (2 working weeks) 10. Safety measures for the demolition of building structures by blasting. (1 working week) 11. Safety measures for the mechanized demolition of building structures. (1 working week) 12. Required documents for the demolition of building structures. (1 working week). Practical teaching Demonstration exercises in the laboratory. Introducing with the tools used in the special blasting and demolition of building structures and software packages applied in that area. |
