Course Objectives: Introducing with the processing and recycling of different types of waste, in the aim of using waste as a raw material for the production the same or different products and complete valorization and recovery of waste through other technological processes and for other industrial purposes, as well as in order to reuse as a product of the same or different purposes. Besides studying the theoretical principles, technological process parameters, as well as applicability of machines and devices in the process, the study is related to technological, economic and environmental effects which achieved in these processes, in reference to further exploitation, treatment and utilization of used raw materials, i.e. conserve of natural raw materials, achieving of profit and environmental protection. |

Theory teaching Waste. General about waste processing and recycling. Products from the waste processing and recycling. Methods of processing and recycling: comminution - crushing, grinding, classification and screening, concentration – gravity, magnetic, flotation, electric, leaching, special methodes, dewatering; theoretical principles, devices (types, principle of operation, technical and technological characteristics) and technological process parameters. Processing and recycling of waste generated in a various industries and processes (waste from the mining, civil construction, metallurgy, inorganic chemical process, thermal process). Recycling process of: glass, plastic, accumulator, paper and cardboard, car tires, old cars. Practical teaching Laboratory exercises (experimental and theoretical); introducing with all phases of processing and recycling of different types of waste, as well as with machines and devices which apply in these processes through practical, experimental work, catalogues, presentations, etc; experimental exercises include processing and recycling some types of wastes – tailing and slag from copper processing and metallurgy, foundry sand, fly ash). |
