Course Objectives: Within the synthesis of minerals course, students will learn about the various methods of mineral synthesis that have been applied in various fields of technology. |
Learning Outcomes: By mastering the material from the course, the student is able to solve complex problems related to the mineral synthesis. |
Content:
Theory teaching Syntheses of minerals in the gaseous phase, Syntheses of the mineral in liquid phase by methods of direct crystallization and solubility methods, Quartz synthesis in a hydrothermal stage as piezo- and pyroelectric materials, Syntheses of artificial diamonds, Gemstone synthesis, Syntheses of semiconductor elements based on structures of natural sulphides and sulphosalts, Synthesis of new composite materials. Practical teaching Exercises take place according to lecture units. |
