Theory teaching Introduction. Classification, environments and periods of non-metallic mineral resources formation, minerogenetic reonisation of Serbia. Analysis of the following commodities: As, B, Br, F, P, I, Li, Se, salts, Sr, S, asbestos, diamonds, gemstones, garnets, corundum, micas, piesooptical crystals, Al-silicates, alunite and alums, barite, zirconium and haphnium, feldspars, gypsum and anchidrite, graphite, chromite, magnesite, pyrophillite, REE, talc, titanium minerals, vermiculite, wollastonite, zeolite, white bauxite, marlstone for cement, dunite, clays and kaolin, building stone, carbonate rocks, quartz sand, quartz raw materials, nepheline syenite, mineral pigments, silicites, rocks for petrolurgy, sand and gravel, volcanic glasses, volcanic tuffs, perlite, technogenous deposits. Practical teaching Exercises support the lectures. Analysis of non-metallic mineral deposit is performed. Exercises include thin section analysis, presentation of different genetic types, work with samples and field work. |
