Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to acquire knowledge on the basic instrumental methods for determination of the mineral and chemical composition of mineral raw materials as well as the basic principles of operation of the devices used in these tests. |
Learning Outcomes: Acquired knowledge in the field of application of instrumental methods used to determine the mineral and chemical composition of mineral raw materials, as well as the basic principles of the devices used in these tests. |
Content:
Theory teaching Measuring units in analytics, types of samples, preparation and storage of samples, laws in analytics, general analytical concepts, physical and mechanical analytical methods of testing, chemical analytical methods, analytical equipment, instrumental methods, determination of the most adequate analytical methods, evaluation of analytical data and accreditation laboratories. Practical teaching Macroscopic determination of diferent raw materials. Determination of diferent raw materials under the stereomicroscope. Determination of ores, rock and minerals. |
