Name of subject: Stratigraphy of the Carpatho-Balkanides |
Instructors:
Prof. Meri Ganić |
Status: Compulsory |
ECTS: 5 |
Prerequisites: - |
Course Objectives: Detailed introduction to basic structural-tectonic units of the Carpatho-Balkanides, exploring the lithostratigraphic characteristics of those units. |
Learning Outcomes: After mastering the course, the student should be familiar with the main characteristics of lithostratigraphic units Carpatho-Balkanides of Serbia. |
Content:
Theory teaching The study of paleogeographic and stratigraphic features in the Carpatho-Balkanides, comes down to a detailed description of the main structural-facial zones and their mutual relations. Any structural-tectonic units shown through historical and geological development, starting with the Precambrian to the youngest sections. Practical teaching Exercises, individual work through the graphic design of local lithostratigraphic columns, field trip in teaching base. |
