Course Objectives: Acquisition of knowledge in the field of mining and evaluation of deposits of mineral raw materials from the point of view of exploitation. |
Learning Outcomes: A geologist with knowledge of mining and mine evaluation. |
Content:
Theory teaching History, location and role of mining. Basic technical and technological concepts of mining. Properties and estimates of mineral resource deposits from the point of view of exploitation. Methods of exploitation. Criteria on the basis of which splits of methods of exploitation are carried out.Surface and underground exploitation, similarities, differences and demarcations between them. Unconventional ways of exploiting solid mineral resources. Risks. Economic aspects of the business.
Underground exploitation.Basic principles, Mining-technical concepts, Divisions and classifications, Phases of underground exploitation and Technical-economic aspects.
