Course Objectives: The course goal is detailed studying of acquisition procedures, seismic data processing and refraction seismic data modelling (2D) as well as 2D and 3D reflection data interpretation. |
Learning Outcomes: The outcome of the subject is gaining of theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for the application of mathematical transformation used in seismic data processing and interpretation. |
Content:
Theory teaching Spectral analysis. Vector analysis. Phase analysis. Error distribution.
Decrease of noise effects. Preparing of data for subsequent data processing in direct wave method (tomography method), seismic refraction and seismic reflection methods. Forming of 2D seismic sections. Migration. 2D and 3D modelling. Interpretation of seismic refraction and seismic reflection data. Seismic reflection data modelling and synthetic seismogram. Practical teaching Static and dynamic corrections. Velocity analysis. Trace summing (stacking). Convolution and seismic data filtering. Application of controlled gain (AGC). Migration. Field experiments. Work in data processing and interpretation center. |
