Course Objectives: The aim of the course is to further adopt modern scientific and academic terminology as well as developing linguistic competences, comprehension, translation skills and formal writing skills. |
Learning Outcomes: The principal outcome of the course is to foster students’ independent use of scientific sources in English, as well as developing the skills of professional, scientific and academic communication. |
Content:
Theory teaching Introduction to basic morphological and syntactic structures and vocabulary which is most frequent in their area of expertise. This is done based on complex, lexically rich, authentic texts as well as advanced communicative functions in writing and speech. Practical teaching Practical lessons are interwoven with lectures and are focussed on the written and oral practice of individual thematic areas. |
