Course Objectives:
The aim of the course is to give students detailed knowledge of functions, integrals and differential equations. Teaching of the subject Mathematics 2 should contribute to the formation of such profile of geology engineers who will be able to apply their acquired knowledge effectively in practice.
Learning Outcomes:
The result of the course is acquisition of knowledge in mathematics, necessary for further attending and understanding of professional subjects, professional work and research activity.
Content:

Theory teaching
The field of real numbers. The axioms of a set of real numbers and some of their consequences. Real function of a real variable. Infinite number sequences. Limit value and continuity of the function. Derivatives and differentials. Differentiability of a function, differential of a function and its application. Sketching the graph of a function. Indefinite integral. Definite integral. Real functions of more real variables. Differential equations of the first order. Differential equations of higher order.

Practical teaching
Any subject of the theoretical part of the course will be followed by solving of the selected problems.
