Status: Compulsory | ||||||||||||||
ECTS: 7 | ||||||||||||||
Prerequisites: - | ||||||||||||||
Course Objectives: Introduction of students with machine elements, as part of the science of machine constructions and as basic elements of mining mechanization. Students learn about methods of calculation, pipe lines elements, elements for joints, power transmision, motion. Teach students to understand function of mechanical systems, applications, variants of design solutions and calculation. Students solve engineering problems in the form of tasks that are posed as real problems from the mining industry |
||||||||||||||
Learning Outcomes: Active knowledge in the subject area and improvement of engineering methods of thinking of the machine design through the acquiring skills of the ability to determine the basic structural parameters of the machine elements: loads, critical (ultimate) stresses, safety factor, caring capacity, materials, design and dimensions, defining functions. Competence to identify and solve practical problems related to machinery and equipment in the mining industry, primarily from the aspect of maintenance and service. |
