Theory teaching In the first part, the course introduces the R package, while in the second, more extensive, exercises include the AutoCAD package. The lectures will give a theoretical basis with the demonstration of the program commands. R is a powerful programming language for technical calculations and can be used for mathematical computations, modeling and simulation, analysis and data processing, graphical display of results and development of algorithms. AutoCAD is a software package for computer-aided design, and within this course will include, amog other things: exercises for introducing AutoCAD environment, drawing and processing of drawings, control of drawing printing, mastering 3D modeling and rasterization, customizing AutoCAD, linking drawings with databases and spreadsheets. At the end of the course, it will be given an overview of modern software solutions for individual areas in mining and geology. Practical teaching At the exercises, the students will independently, with the supervision of the assistant, use the software and perform the assigned tasks. Exercises are executed in a computer classroom, they are integrated with the Moodle system, and at the end of each class, students upload the solutions for the given tasks within the class-exercises. |
