Study program:
Mine Mechanization (IX semester -MsC) Petroleum Engineering (X semester -MsC) |
Name of subject: Automation and Process Control |
Instructors:
Prof. Dejan Ivezić |
Status: Optional |
ECTS: 6 |
Prerequisites: - |
Course Objectives: Introducing to the various techniques of analysis and design of modern control systems. Consideration of control systems in petroleum engineering, and detailed analysis of their implementation in control of basic system parameters (pressure, temperature, flow, level,…) in production and transport of oil and gas. Introducing to supervisory control, acquisition and data analysis (SCADA) concept in petroleum engineering. |
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to: Recognize and make the choice of the optimal control concept; Calculate and analyze indicators of control systems; Examine the stability of the system; Understand and know how to draw P&ID diagrams of processes related to the production and transport of oil and natural gas; Work with automated systems for production, preparation and transportation of oil and natural gas; Be included in the teams specialized in the design of process industry control systems. |
