Course Objectives:
Acquiring the necessary knowledge about the concept and role of exploitation and maintenance of gas pipelines in order to use the gas and gas pipeline system technically and economically with the required level of safety, necessary for gas systems and devices. |
Learning Outcomes:
Qualification for responsible behavior in the operation and maintenance of pipeline systems. By mastering the program content students gain the necessary knowledge base on the exploitation and maintenance of gas systems. Understanding the functions of exploitation and maintenance of modern gas systems, current terminology as well as knowledge of modern methods used in the field of exploitation and maintenance. The ability for independent, creative work in a given context object. |
Content:
Theory teaching
General part (Basic physical and chemical properties; Basic principles of production, preparation for transport and transport; Transport system; Components; Characteristic procedures; Measures of protection). Managing the technical and technological process of pipeline transportation of gaseous hydrocarbons. Maintenance of technical systems. Managing the maintenance of the gas pipeline system. Procedures for direct handling of the transpiration and maintenance process. Electrical installation. Testing of steel pipelines. Corrosion and corrosion protection. Pipelines and protection against electric shock. Remote control and management. Building maintenance. Tribology. Practical teaching
At the exercises, students take three colloquiums. Students have the right to take a colloquium only once. There is only one correctional colloquium at the end of the semester. In the remaining hours of the exercises, examples and practices are worked out. The exercises will use the ability to use exact data from measurements on real systems from practice. Support of information systems for exploitation and maintenance. Through practical examples, advanced maintenance methods will be processed (proactive, total productive maintenance, etc.). Students will be trained in basic field research. |

Conduct of the Course:
Teaching is carried out through lectures, auditory and laboratory exercises, using modern teaching tools. Through each case study, cases are analyzed in the field of exploitation and maintenance of gas pipelines, which provides a wide range of practical technical knowledge for independent work in the field of exploitation and maintenance of gas pipelines. |
