Course Objectives: The aim of the course is to introduce students to the production system for the exploitation of oil and gas and its characteristics. The modern approach to optimizing the oil and gas production system, aimed at increasing the productivity and energy efficiency of the oil and gas wells, implies a comprehensive understanding of the individual components - the base, the well, the pipeline and the process vessels, as well as their interaction at all stages of exploitation. The use of analytical models describes the dynamics of fluid flow through the bearing, perforations and wells, whereby the pressure change profile is a basic integral function that reflects the dynamic state of the production system. Numerous mathematical models of complex behavior of the well and its interaction with the bearing and surface are simplified and reduced to an easy and quick understanding. All parts of the production system that are considered as individual units are synthesized by the system of analysis in order to determine the optimal parameters of the production equipment and optimal production conditions. In addition to the knowledge that students gain, the course aims to train students to solve engineering problems in the form of budgeting, dimension equipment and examples from the field of eruptive methods of oil and gas exploitation. |
Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of the course, the student can understand, analyze and determine: the characteristics of the fluid flow in the oil and gas well using different analytical models with the aim of determining the production possibilities of the well in the current and future production conditions, the pressure drop in the flow of oil and gas through perforations in standard wells and wells equipped with a gravel-puck system, pressure drop in the flow of fluid through a well, a drop in temperature at the flow of fluid through a well, a pressure drop at fluid flow through the nozzle, optimization r to a production system using the analysis system. |
Content:
Theory teaching Within this subject, the characteristics of the production system for the exploitation of oil and gas are studied. The production possibilities of the wells are determined through the flow characteristics for oil and gas wells. All components of the production system from the aspect of flow dynamics are analyzed in detail, starting with perforations, gravel packs, tubes and nozzles. For these components, mathematical models are considered that define the pressure drop in the flow of oil and gas through them. The hydrodynamic characteristic of the flow of oil and gas through perforations and gravel packs, the dynamics of vertical multi phase flow, the thermodynamic fluid flow model in the column of the well, the regulation and control of the operation of eruptive oil and gas wells are studied. Particular attention is devoted to the system of analyzing the eruptive work of oil and gas well. Practical teaching Within the framework of practical teaching, it is envisaged to solve calculation examples related to matter processed in lectures. |
