Course Objectives:
Introducing students to the concepts, place and role of machines and equipment for recultivation of terrain, for recycling of waste and for work on landfills in the mining industry and in general protection of the living and working environment. Introducing students with the capabilities and performance of machines and devices used for recultivation and work on landfills. |
Learning Outcomes:
Acquisition of the necessary theoretical and active practical knowledge, from the point of view of construction and maintenance of machines and devices for recultivation of terrain, for recycling of waste and for working on landfills. Competence for responsible behavior in the exploitation of given machines in the work on recultivation, recycling and landfills. |
Content:
Theory teaching
Basic principles of recultivation, stages in the process of recultivation, technological processes in recultivation. Depositing. Earthmoving machines: excavators with one working element - draglines, rope excavator; hydraulic excavators; multi-working excavators - excavators for the construction of channels; scrapers, graders; bulldozers, rippers; loaders. Field compacting machines. Machines for basic tillage. Drilling machines. Special machines for irrigation, spraying and similar. Machines for the recycling of waste. Practical teaching
At exercises, students take three colloquiums through tests. Colloquium will process logical units. In the remaining hours of the exercises, computational examples will be made relating to the selection of machines, checking the capacities, as well as the calculation and dimensioning of machines and individual assembly sets. Students will be trained in basic field research. |

Conduct of the Course:
Teaching is carried out through lectures, auditory and laboratory exercises, using modern teaching tools. Throughout the study area, case studies are processed in the field of machines and devices for recultivation of terrain, for recycling of waste and for working on landfills, which provides a wide range of practical technical knowledge for independent work in the use of these machines in the field of environmental protection. |
