Course Objectives:
Introduction to the student with the graphic documentation of the mine, its characteristics, specificities in relation to other graphic documentation. Training for independent interpretation and use of graphic documentation of the mine (GDM), both in surface and underground exploitation. Getting acquainted with GDM used on mines in Serbia and training for using computer technology and technology in the use of GDM.
Learning Outcomes:
Independent work on the development of GDM and its use in all phases of exploitation of mineral resources.
Content:

Theory teaching
Introduction. Purpose and importance of the graphic documentation of the mine. Division and content. Definitions of basic concepts of GDM. The conditions and coordinate systems used in the graphic documentation of the mine. Types of material-substrates used for GDMs. Symbols, labels and conditional signs. Graphical documentation in the surface. exploitation. Specificity of GDM with surface exploitation of metals, non-metals and coal and methods of display. Graphic documentation in underground exploitation. Specificity of GDM with underground exploitation of metals, non-metals and coal and display modes. Interpretation of GDM. Collect data from graphic displays. Load of GDM content, release methods and improved readability. The basic content of GDM. Interpretation of the basic content of the mine with surface and underground exploitation. The GDM’s thematic content. Interpretation of the thematic content of the mine with surface and underground exploitation. Geological graphic documentation. Division, specificity. Symbols, labels and conditional signs. Digital Plan. Definitions and characteristics of the digital plan, Rules and Regulations on the creation of digital documentation. GDM in digital form. Definitions, advantages and disadvantages, digital plan and digital spatial model of surface mine and underground premises. Using digital GDM. Use of GDM in the design, opening, exploitation, closing and revitalization of mines with surface and underground exploitation. Computer technology and technology for using digital GDM. Computers and computer equipment, software, multimedia presentation.

Practical teaching
Interpretation of GDM mines with surface exploitation of metals, non-metals and coal, reading and data collection. Determining the load and carrying out the procedures for relieving and improving readability. Interpretation of GDM mines with underground exploitation of metals, non-metals and coal, reading and data collection. Application of computer technology and technology in the use of digital GDM for the purpose of interpretation, reading and data collection. Determining the load and carrying out the procedures for relieving and improving readability. Review and analysis of graphic documentation of surface mines in Serbia. Review and analysis of GDM with underground exploitation in Serbia. Suggestions for GDM quality improvement.
