Study program:
Environmental Engineering (V semester -BsC)
Mining Engineering (V semester -BsC)
Name of subject: Numerical Analysis
Instructors:
Prof. Dejan Ćebić
Status: Optional
ECTS: 5
Prerequisites: Passed exams in Mathematics 1 and Mathematics 2
Course Objectives:
Getting acquainted with the theory and practice of basic methods in Numerical Analysis necessary for engineers
Learning Outcomes:
Training students to use the Numerical Analysis method in engineering practice.
Content:

Theory teaching
Basic numerical methods, rounding up numbers and estimating errors. Interpolation, numerical integration (Simpson method, trapezoidal and tangent method) and numerical differentiation. Approximation of ordinary equations: iterative methods, methods of cuttings and tangents. Solving ordinary differential and partial differential equations by various numerical methods.

Practical teaching
Any subject of the theoretical part of the course will be followed by solving of the selected problems.
