Course Objectives:
The aim of the course is to master basic and general knowledge in the field of chemistry and to expand on this basis in the future his knowledge of chemistry according to the requirements of its further orientation (study program module).
Learning Outcomes:
After the successful completion of the program envisaged in this course, the student will have basic theoretical knowledge in chemistry and will be trained for safe work in a chemical laboratory.
Content:

Theory teaching
Basic concepts, stoichiometry, chemical reactions, atomic structure and quantum theory, periodic table system of elements, chemical bonding, an overview of physical states, dispersion systems, electrolytic dissociation and electrolytes, chemistry and mining.

Practical teaching
Laboratory work, mixtures, stoichiometry, chemical reactions (Combination, decomposition reactions, single und double – displacement reactions), redox reactions, the effect of temperature and concentration on reaction rate, chemical equilibrium in homogeneous systems, properties and preparation of solutions, electrolytic dissociation, ionic reactions, pH-value of electrolyte solution and salt hydrolysis, neutralization reactions.
