Course Objectives:
Introduction to basics of Strength of Materials, theoretical and practical.
Learning Outcomes:
After taking this course, students will be trained to solve problems related to Strength of Materials, that occur in everyday engineering practice.
Content:

Theory teaching
1.Introduction, 2. Geometrical properties of the Cross-Sections, 3.Axial loading (statically indeterminated problems), 4.Elements of Stress and Strain Theory, 5.Constitutive Equations 6. Hipotheses About the Fraction of the Materials, 7.Torsion, 8.Bending, 9.Shear, 10.Buckling, 11.Structure Complex Stress, 12. Determination of the Form of Curved Beams, 13.Beams, Statically Indeterminate Problems, 14. Deformation Work Methods.

Practical teaching
Practical problems in domains covered by theoretical knowledge.
