DEPARTMENT OF HYDROGEOLOGY

Biography:

Dragoljub Bajić was born on December 27, 1984 in Kikinda. He graduated from High school, Gymnasium, (the general) “Dušan Vasiljev”, in Kikinda, in 2003. In October the same year, he enrolled in the studies at the Faculty of Mining and Geology, at Belgrade University, Department of Hydrogeology. He graduated ahead of schedule, on March 31, 2008 and completed studies with average grade 8,92 (scale from 6 to 10).
During his studies at the undergraduate level, he was a scholarship holder of The Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Serbia (2003-2008).
In October 2008, he enrolled in Doctoral academic studies at the Faculty of Mining and Geology, in Belgrade, Academic Expertise – Hidrogeology. During his three-year Doctoral academic studies (2009-2011), he was a scholarship holder of The Ministry of Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.

At the Faculty of Mining and Geology, from 2008/2009 school year, he participates in giving lectures and exercises in subjects: Tapping of Groundwater Sources, Groundwater Modeling 1,  Groundwater Modeling 2 and General Hydrology.

In March, 2012 he was elected research assistant by the Scientific and Academic Council of Faculty of Mining and Geology, University of Belgrade.

Professional and scientific activity:

During his Doctoral academic studies at the Faculty of Mining and Geology, he gained further professional improvement also by attending organized courses at Technical University in Ostrava (Czech Republic), University of Dubrovnik and at the University in Zagreb (Republic of Croatia).

He is a member of the following organizations:

• The International Centre for Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment Systems (SDEWES Centre);
• The International Mine Water Association;
• The Serbian Geological Society;
• The Association ofMilutinMilankovic.

He has participated in several national and international scientific conferences and symposiums, where he presented research papers in the field of hydrogeology, published in the proceedings of international conferences.
He is co-author of the monograph chapter, and he also participated in several scientific projects of hydrogeological  investigations and studies of groundwater reserves, conducted on the territory of Serbia. On the „7th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment systems“ he was a Co-chair on the session “Water resources” and on the „8th Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environment systems“ he was a Co-chair on the session „Water treatment 1“.

In his professional work (for PhD thesis), he deals with fuzzy optimization in hydrodynamic analysis of groundwater control systems.
