Selected Topics in Hydraulic and Pneumatic Mining Machinery

Study program:
Mining Engineering (IV semester -PhD)
Name of subject: Selected Topics in Hydraulic and Pneumatic Mining Machinery
Instructors:
Prof. Dejan Ivezić
Status: Optional
ECTS: 10
Prerequisites: Completed master study program
Course Objectives:
Training of students for scientific work in area of application of pumps, compressors and fans in mining and petroleum engineering.
Learning Outcomes:
Active knowledge in the area of application of pumps, compressors and fans in mining and petroleum engineering.
Content:

Theory teaching
Specific problems connected with application of pumps, compressors and fans in mining and petroleum engineering are considered. Some of the problems of pump applications are drainage of mines, exploitation and transport of oil, as well as hydraulic transport of solid materials. The second group of problems, which is considered in this course, is related to the application of the compressor. Special emphasis is given to natural gas compressors. Fans are considered through application on line systems or in networks with special emphasis on application in ventilation of the mines.

Practical teaching
Seminar work connected wit PhD thesis is obligatory for all students.
