Oil and Gas Production 2

Study program:
Petroleum Engineering (VII semester -BsC)
Name of subject: Oil and Gas Production 2
Instructors:
Prof. Dušan Danilović, Prof. Miroslav Crnogorac
Status: Compulsory
ECTS: 5
Prerequisites: Courses passed from the previous year.
Course Objectives:
The aim of the course is to familiarize with mechanical methods for the production of oil and gas. Students are introduced in detail with the most widely used mechanical methods, with gas lift (continual and intermittent), deep pumping on piston rods and centrifugal pumps. Students are trained for designing and selecting equipment for the stated mechanical methods. Particular attention has been paid to the system of analyzing and optimizing the process of operation of the mentioned mechanical methods, which is of particular importance in terms of economy of operation and energy efficiency.
Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of the course, students are trained for independent design of mechanical methods for the production of oil and gas and the choice of their equipment (gas lift, deep pumping, centrifugal pumps). They are also familiar with the procedures of diagnostics and solving of production problems.
Content:
